According to VETBLOG, about 25-40% of the appointments are related to pet allergies. That’s sound like a lot and serious issues among pet owners.

Many allergies manifest as skin problems in your cat, not necessarily including gastrointestinal symptoms (such as diarrhea).  In most cases, it’s very difficult to figure out the specific cause of your cat’s food allergy. You may have to try several different formulas until you find one that works for your cat.

Or instead of all testing, you can go for getting an allergy test done at the vet. This can save your time and most importantly suffering of your cat.  You will find out about more detail on what is/are the causes of your pet allergies, e.g., substances, food, environment etc.

With that, you can work on how to eliminate them and also encourage building your cat immune system by choosing the right food, and exercise.

Hypoallergenic cat food uses unusual sources of protein such as lamb, duck or possibly venison, or can be rabbit, duck, lamb, since most cat food formulas contain chicken, beef, eggs or fish.
