We know now that cats are carnivals and need to eat meat in their diet. Also know they don’t need grains&corn meals. But why these are still in the canned food? Because its profitable for the companies to produce such a food ans sell it. Not necessary excellent for our cats.

O.K. so we now look at marks when we buy cat food. Then I started wonder what’s the difference between organic cat food and Holistic cat food? The prices are normally similar, premium cat food can be slightly cheaper.

Here are the definition of Organic Cat food:

First of all, organic cat food must adhere to strict, regulated standards set by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) that specify how the ingredients are produced and processed. Organic standards do not allow the use of pesticides, antibiotics, hormones, or genetically engineered materials.

“Organic” sounds excellent. But the point to pay attention. There can be Organic corn meal, Organic meat by products. They are not needed in your cat’s meal.

O.K. how about Holistic Cat food then?

Holistic cat foods are typically all-natural cat foods that contain no fillers utilizing only ingredients which serve a specific nutritional purpose. A lot of holistic cat foods omit common allergens like wheat and corn. Holistic cat food, also called “natural cat food”, selects ingredients that avoid the hormones and antibiotics believed to be in the commonly known pet food meats.
