There are three main ways to go for Best Cat Food: Raw Cat Food, Homemade Cat Food and Organic Cat Food.  You (and your cat) made a choice to switch to one of those.  The question is “How do you go about it?”

Its like you have been on a regular diet including meat and daily.  How do you feel if you are suddenly offered “Raw” food? It’s shocking, isn’t it? Same goes for your cat who has been fed with commercial cat food for some time.

Here are three ways to go for transferring your cat.  Remember every cat is different and don’t be so strict about it.  Provided your cat is having balanced cat diet everyday.

(I have also heard that if a cat has never had any food besides commercial dry food he/she will not want to eat anything else.  That was a case of my cat too.  After failing for homemade cat food that my cat wasn’t interested at all.  I found the recipe for success.)

The degree of food goes like Kibble (Dry Food), Canned Food, Homemade Cat Food or Raw Food.  In order to make a switch, you want to go gradually, I mean tiny step a day.

For example, just start mixing tiny bit of new cat food into their existing food.  Start small see if they can manage (meaning eating well).  If not cut back a small.  Then increase a bit again.

If you are adding raw diet, it can be too smelly for your cat first.  What you can do is sprinkle some crushed dry food, Parmesan cheese or dry chicken power etc.

Be patient and continue adding more and more new food till its get 100 %.

Now you have made successful conversion for your cat.

Just remember to add enough supplements to raw or homemade cat food.
